WISE STEPS

Wise Steps is an informal employability programme designed to support people in Tyne & Wear who have been long term unemployed or are currently economically inactive. The programme takes participants on a journey towards employment or self-employment through bespoke one-to-one coaching and group work. Supported by a range of specialist partners, such as ABC, the programme has worked with nearly 2000 individuals over the previous 2 years to gain positive outcomes for them.

As part of this programme, ABC, supports participants who are interested in starting their own enterprise to do just that. We provide dedicated and individual support to each person we deal with and take them through a proven process of success depending on their starting point.

Over the previous 12 months, ABC has successfully supported 15 participants so change their lives and become self-employed. Just a range of people, and their business ideas, we have added value to:

As part of WiseSteps, Asian Business Connexions has partnered with Transmit Start-Ups to deliver the Start Up Loans scheme to UK entrepreneurs. Start Up Loans is a government backed scheme, providing repayable loans and mentoring to individuals in the UK with a viable business idea but no access to finance.

We will help you through the application process, including advice on creating a business plan and cash flow forecast. There are no fees charged for obtaining a Start Up Loan or any of the services associated with it.
